If the mag appears original, that would be a plus.

Unfortunately, we do not know about the mag. This is a clear indication that the slide is not original with the gun. Now, as mentioned before, the slide has the CROWN N mark, and the barrel has the EAGLE N mark. That is an indication that the barrel was re-blued, which further calls in to suspect the gun being re-finished. Therefore, the barrel should be steel, not blued (phosphated?). According to the pictures and OP, the serial number is in the 274xxxk range, I don't think the "rough" ones started until later. The barrel showing thru the ejection port is blued. Not that I'm an expert, but I see the following (as posted before). But I did look closely at the PPK and I question that value. Maybe we should leave the word NAZI out of it, and call it a Third Reich Walther PPK, or a WWII German Walther PPK, or a WWII era Walther PPK.īut if were to use the word NAZI to describe a WWII era Walther, I think this pistol and holster would fit the bill just fine -)Ĭlick to expand.First, I admit I didn't look at the pictures of the holster and I'm not a holster expert. With a spare mag to complete the set you would see something like this sell on Legacy Collectibles website around the $2k price range (or more?), and it would sell. Market value for a PPK in this condition is double that ANY day of the week, and with the holster, the holster easily puts in the $1500 price range. most civilians no longer owned firearms under the Nazi's laws, and I doubt Walther had too many to spare anyway as most of the demand was either from the Nazi German military, or paramilitary procurement organizations.Īnd btw, "I paid $600", if that gives you any idea of value", should read more like "I paid $600 and got a smoking deal on a somewhat rough PPK with badly cracked grips". like these weren't made in NAZI Germany, weren't usually sold as privat purchase pieces to NAZI party members, or as privat purchase pieces by NAZI German officers? "Civilian" my hind end. the holster has a very clear waffen proof on the closing flap.
